When you are thoroughly jazzed about something – when something is exciting to the point of being giddy – you are experiencing entheos.
Enthusiasm is the normal state of being for human beings. Depression and hopelessness are not “normal.” Joy, love, kindness, there is no law against these feelings. The Dale Carnegie Course has a saying, “Act enthusiastic and you’ll be enthusiastic.” Are your hungry for spiritual energy? This is the way each of us are designed, not just to be full of enthusiasm, but to be overflowing with it. Don’t feel very loving or caring today? That’s okay, make a decision to act loving and caring. Buy a friend a cup of coffee. For that matter buy a stranger a cup of coffee, no strings attached. See how ...

It’s easy to take yourself too seriously. When we have moments of inspiration, we think we can conquer the world. But when we are less positive, it seems that nothing can go right. The antidote for the roller coaster: Lighten up!
Every little thing in life is not a matter of life or death. One group calls the human tendency to think the worst “awful-izing.” “If I can’t get my haircut by noon today, it will be terrible and my whole day will be ruined.” Really? I don’t think so. Concentration camp prisoners have survived. Amputees and persons suffering from brain damage, go on. Perspective makes all the difference, doesn’t it?
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Phillipians 4:4 (NLT via BibleGateway.com)

We become like those we spend time with. Peer pressure and peer approval are important influences on everything we do. If you want to be a kinder person, hang out with kind people. If you want to have more joy in your life, hang out with people who have a smile on their face and a song in their heart.
Open your mind to the possibility that there are friends in your neighborhood or workplace that you haven’t even met yet. People nearby need you and you need them.! All of us need a little help along the journey. Find new friends and be a good friend, it could be a beautiful thing.
As iron sharpens iron,so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17 (NLT via BibleGateway.com)

Have you been the victim of an act of kindness?
Maybe someone has shown you some generosity?
However you arrived at Kindness.com, you are welcome here. We invite you to view the video Carpe Sushi. Everything we do in life requires a certain level of risk. Beginning a spiritual journey is no different.
Steve Sjogren, author of the classic, Conspiracy of Kindness, compares acquiring a taste for sushi and the risks involved in that process, with tasting “God”, and beginning a journey of faith. If you decide to begin your steps with God, send an email to Steve and request his booklet, “Why Kindness.”
