Carpe Sushi

Stepping out in the power of kindness requires taking risks, according to author and speaker, Steve Sjogren, a pioneer in the “kindness” movement. In fact, Steve says that all of the important steps in our lives require a risk. In this short video he compares the risks of eating sushi to the risks of acting in kindness toward others.

All I can say about Sushi is watch out for the “innocent” green stuff! It blew my mouth away the first time. Like may things in life even if you get a shock the first time you try something it gets better as you learn and stick with it. Some of the greatest life memories I have rest around when someone was “simply” kind to me. Mrs. Lefkowicz was my eight grade teacher. I was the troublemaker in her class. She kept a smile toward me and encuraged me despite my behavior. In her kind way she turned my attitude on a dime. I only hope that I can help create a kind memory for someone else.
